The Good Shepherd Blue Casket with Chrome Hardware

The stunning Good Shepherd image is applied to the top of the casket. All sides of the casket are in a blue hand-brushed finish with subtle gilt highlights. This gasketed casket follows the half-couch design which features a bedding system. It is adorned with a creme velvet interior in classic design and includes a matching pillow and throw. The exterior is decorated with sculpted square corners, brushed chrome-tone pieta ornamentation and accessories with full handle bars. Metal caskets are appealing to many people due to the wide variety of styles, designs and colors.

Caskets are constructed from sturdy 20 gauge or 18 gauge steel, with or without a sealer. The smaller the number the thicker the steel.

The Good Shepherd - The image of the Good Shepherd is the most common of the
symbolic representations of Christ found in Early Christian art in the Catacombs of Rome, before Christian imagery could be made explicit. The form of the image showing a young man carrying a lamb round his neck . The image continued to be used in the centuries after Christianity. Images of the Good Shepherd often include a sheep on his shoulders, aversion of the Parable of the Lost Sheep.
